Bens Subdivision In Brisbane
A few years ago, just before Christmas, I saw a cracking piece of land come up for sale on one of the beachside suburbs in North Brisbane.
I called my town planner and found out I could subdivide the block of land. At the time I was a little bit scared of going into too much debt so I decided to sell one of the pieces of land and build a brand new dual-income property on the land I kept.
The project took a lot longer than I was expecting and was more expensive than my initial feasibility, but I’m happy with the end result. If I was doing it all again I would build a larger, double-story property.
We don’t always get it right as investors but if we buy the right market at the right time and have a longer-term perspective investing can be a lot of fun.
