THE PUMPED ON PROPERTY STORY.

Hi, I’m Ben Everingham, the Director at Pumped On Property, and I grew up on the South side of Sydney.

My Mum and Dad gave us the gift of unconditional love growing up. We lived on the bush and were free to roam. I was obsessed with sports growing up and fell in love with soccer, roller hockey, surfing, and skateboarding. While Mum and Dad were not property investors, many of their conversations centered around Dad's work (he has always been an incredible businessman) and they owned their own home.

In 2005 (at the age of 19) I went to Europe with three of my best mates. I didn’t know it at the time, but the trip completely changed the course of my life. I saw a world outside of the one that I grew up in for the first time and realised that I could choose my own adventure.

Unfortunately, when I got home from my trip I was completely lost, so I decided to run away to Queensland to study at the University of the Sunshine Coast. 

During my time at university, I was free to find myself. I fell in love with learning, training, and traveling, and was able to complete internships with Oxfam, the QLD Government, the Sunshine Coast Council, and Parsons Brinckerhoff. I was also given the opportunity to be a part of a young entrepreneurs program run by Harvard and MIT, with other students from all over the world. After university, I was accepted into IBM’s global graduate program and moved back to Sydney with Lisa.

When I walked into IBM, I thought I’d made it to the big leagues, but instead, I felt deeply unhappy and completely lost for the second time. This time I knew what to do. I needed to follow my passion and find my bliss.

 
 

During my last year at university, I read Rich Dad Poor Dad and decided I wanted to become financially free before I was 30…so during my first year at IBM, I saved almost everything I earnt and bought two investment properties. One in Sydney and one on the Central Coast. 

I felt like I was home (no pun intended), property came so naturally to me, and between the ages of 24 and 36, I went on to buy 17 properties, most of which I no longer own.

During my journey, I’ve had to learn a heap of lessons the hard way. I’ve had a tenant burn down my granny flat, tenants stop paying the rent, and I’ve been given really bad advice.

In 2015 I started Pumped On Property and since then I’ve been lucky enough to help more than 1000 kind and incredible people (like you) from all over the world buy more than $500,000,000 worth of investment property.

I’m grateful for my journey so far. To be honest I feel like it's just begun.

I’m grateful to work with my brother, my sister, and a team of the kindest people I’ve ever met.

I’m grateful for the lives we’ve been able to change for the better and I’m excited about my future.

I truly believe that we are born to be financially free and living a life filled with choices. 

The choice to spend more time with the people we care about, do meaningful work, help others, move better, travel the world, and become the best versions of ourselves.

Giving back.

I (Ben) believe that for things to change we all need to be part of the solution. Which is why in 2022 we partnered with The Everyday Foundation, a Sunshine Coast based non-for profit.

Their goal is to provide hope for those who need it most. One way they do this is by providing heavily discounted or free food through their grocery store. Each week almost 1000 shoppers visit their community grocery store. Another program they run is called The Daily Bread, which feeds up to 60 people a couple of times per week through their soup kitchen. Over the course of the last few years, we have personally contributed over $85,000 in donations to The Everyday Foundation and Charity Water.

We will continue to be part of the solution.
